The kidneys are one of the most important organs in our body. They are small but powerful organs that perform many important functions. 

The kidneys are responsible in filtering waste products, releasing hormones that regulate blood pressure, balancing fluids in the body, producing urine, and many other tasks.

10% of the world's population is suffering kidney disease. When the kidneys are not working properly, the waste of the body will builds up in the blood, including waste products from foods.

That's way is very important to have a special diet for people with kidney disease. It's normally recommended the restriction of foods with high contain of sodium, potassium, phosphorus and protein. High excess of this nutrients can't be filter in damaged kidneys.

There are healthy options to lower the amount of sodium, potassium and phosphorus intake in the body.

  • Cauliflower is a good source of many nutrients, including vitamin C, Vitamin K and vitamin B. It's full of anti-inflammatory compounds and is an excellent source of fiber. It has low contain of potassium.
