Christ the Redeemer sa Brazil, Inilawan ng kulay ng Philippine flag at salitang "SALAMAT"

Ang "Christ the Redeemer" ay isang sikat na statwa at tourist spot sa Brazil. Ito ay may sukat na 30 meters o 98 ft. Simbulo ito ng "Christianity" sa buong mundo at naging cultural icon narin ng  Rio de Janeiro at Brazil. May bigat itong 635 metric tons at nakatayo ito sa  taas ng  Corcovado mountain sa taas na 700 meter.

Trending ngayon sa social media ang ginawang pailaw sa statwa bilang pasasalamat sa mga Pilipinong COVID-19 frontliners. Sa post na facebook page na Team Philippines, makikita ang statwa tila nakasuot ng  uniporme ng doktor at ang kulay ng Philippine flag. Makikita rin na nakasulat ang "SALAMAT". Ito ay bilang pasasalamat sa mga Pinoy na doktor at iba pang fronliners.



Sa kasalukuyan sa buong mundo ay may higit sa 2.7 milyong kumpirmadong kaso ng COVID-19 na may 191,087 ng pagkamatay at 750,092 gumaling.

Ang Pilipinas ay kasalukuyang mayroong 6,981 kaso, 462 na namatay, at 722 na na-recover.

Noong Biyernes ng umaga, inihayag ni Spokesperson Harry Roque na ang Enhanced Community Quarantine ay pinalawak hanggang Mayo 15, 2020 sa mga lugar na may mataas na kaso sa bansa upang mapigilan ang pagkalat ng COVID-19.

Hindi lang mga Pilipino ang pinasalamatan kundi lahat ng bansang lumalaban ngayon sa COVID-19.
